Calgary’s expert in PIANO sales, tuning, conditioning, repairing and appraisals
Buy With Confidence
Drawing on his extensive background as a piano technician, the pianos Michael has selected to represent are consistently rated among the top tier of pianos available today (according to Larry Fine, Piano Buyer Guide). They are also chosen by educational institutions in the city and many music teachers. When visiting artists are given a choice, they overwhelmingly choose to perform on our concert pianos.
If your dream piano is not within reach today, our trade-up policy is designed to help you get there, one step at a time. Our used pianos come with a 5-year, trade-up guarantee and our new pianos come with a 10-year, trade-up guarantee. What does that mean? That within the trade-up period of either 5 or 10 years, you can apply 100% of the purchase price paid (excluding g.s.t.) towards a new piano of greater value. That’s off our every day value-prices, not some inflated manufacturer’s suggested retail price.
So you can buy a part of your dream piano today.

Unique Recital Space
We are thrilled to be able to offer our 85-seat recital space to piano teachers to be able to host their student recitals at no charge. It’s just one way we choose to support local teachers and music in our community. Pianists can select from three, concert grand pianos: C. Bechstein, Fazioli and Steinway.
At the end of the day it’s more important what our customers have to say about us and our pianos. Below is some of the feedback we have received:
Michael is one of the best technicians I have worked with. He carries the best pianos in the city and more importantly, he regulates them to sound better than ever. I always enjoy going to his store to try all the wonderful pianos and have endless talks with him about the finer details of tuning and regulating pianos. Highly recommended.

The Calgary Concerto Competition wishes to sincerely thank sponsors including Michael Lipnicki Fine Pianos and Michael Lipnicki for personally donating piano tunings for the 2-day competition at Scarboro United Church. As well, he donates the tuning for the winners concert with the Calgary Civic Symphony at the Jack Singer Concert Hall.
M. Everett-Faunt, President – Calgary Concerto Competition
I recently had the opportunity to record on a C. Bechstein, loaned to me courtesy of Michael Lipnicki Fine Pianos. I chose the C. Bechstein because of its wonderful spectrum of colours, from a ravishing singing tone to a bold brass fanfare, from the most delicate pianissimo to the richest fortissimo. I also appreciated the precision, responsiveness and ease of its action.

Thank you so much for inviting me to yet another fabulous piano recital.
